Some love stories span continents, time zones, and even seasons of life. For Lilly Garcia and William Villalobos, their wedding day on April 5th, 2025, wasn’t just a celebration of their love—it was a long-awaited moment of peace, nature, and togetherness after years of challenges and commitment.

This stunning Washington elopement took place in Sequim, Washington, and inside the lush and wild beauty of Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park—a location straight out of a fairytale (or, let’s be honest, Twilight).

 

A Love That Waited for the Right Time

 

Lilly and William have been together for over seven years. Their original marriage was a practical decision made so they could stay together while William was stationed abroad in the army. But this day—this day—was about joy, intention, and being surrounded by their closest loved ones.

During the pandemic, the couple lived in Washington and spent much of their time exploring the great outdoors. Though they eventually moved back home to Texas to be closer to family, the Pacific Northwest had left a deep impression on them. So when it came time to plan a real celebration, they knew exactly where their hearts were drawn.

The Perfect Location, the Perfect Day

 

Planning from out of state, they found Oregon-based photographer Emilee Setting on Instagram (@emileesettingphoto). Known for her storytelling style and deep involvement in the elopement process, Emilee not only photographed the day but also helped plan and guide the couple through the entire experience—finding the right location, considering seasonal accessibility, and navigating permits.

Lilly dreamed of early spring in the mountains and confessed her love for Twilight-style scenery. Lake Crescent, with its misty water, moss-covered forests, and snow-capped mountain views, was the ideal setting—even if early April in Washington meant unpredictable weather. But on the day of the elopement? Pure magic. The sun came out, the skies cleared, and they had the Storm Dock Ranger Station all to themselves.

An Intimate, Intentional Celebration

 

Lilly and William got ready separately at their cozy Airbnb, surrounded by the small group of eight guests who meant the most to them. Their first look was emotional—years of love culminating in teary eyes and happy smiles. After a scenic drive through the Olympic Peninsula, they arrived at the lake where waterfalls gushed from melting snow along the highway.

The ceremony was heartfelt and serene. Vows were exchanged with Lake Crescent as their witness, the calm water reflecting a sense of peace that only nature can bring. Their family watched on, moved and overjoyed to finally see this moment come to life.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds opted for some quiet time together. The family returned to the Airbnb, and Emilee led Lilly and William through the forest trails and lakeside views, capturing the essence of the place—and their connection—in every frame. From moss-draped trees to panoramic mountain vistas, every corner of the park seemed like it had been waiting for them.

To cap off the day, they popped a bottle of champagne in front of the Olympic National Park sign, sealing their adventure with joy and celebration.
