If you love adventurous North Carolina wedding venues, then you should consider this one: The Black Balsam Knob is a tree-less area in the Pisgah National Forest. This wedding venue sits above 6214 ft. in elevation and is located near Asheville. You can reach this location by parking at the end of the Black Balsam Knob road and hiking the Art Loeb trail 0.5 miles to the Black Balsam Knob Summit.

This spot is perfect for around 10 guests and the hike is quite easy. So if you are feeling adventurous, bring coats, umbrellas (in case the weather changes quickly) and hiking shoes and get married in the mountains. Weddings at the Black Balsam Knob don´t require a permit.


Blue Ridge Mountains
