Stockholm based artist Liam Warton shows us a perfect example of a very unique and artistic same sex engagement session.

One week prior to Borja & Thomas wedding we decided to meet up and take some portraits. We spent the afternoon stopping at different spots around Stockholm and trying to create a series of honest portraits with a creative composition. I have wanted to use some of these locations for a while now, and I have to thank the couple for giving me the creative freedom to do this.

They met each other in Barcelona approximately 10 years ago when Thomas was living and studying in Spain. And a couple of years ago they decided to move to Stockholm. Their wedding was held the next weekend in the centre of Stockholm and Borja’s close friends and family flew over for the celebration. The melting pot of cultures at this wedding created a warm atmosphere that compensated for the storm outside.

All images were shot on my Sony a7 (which I purchased the morning of the shoot) with voigtlander 28mm f2 or my old Canon Serenar 50mm 1.8 ltm. Then edited in lightroom using Kodak Portra160 plus Alien Skin Exposure for grain and sharpening.
